Many of us in the developed world can take water for granted. As long as it continues to flow through our faucets at the right temperature then it’s fine. We may not consider how much we use or where it ends up.
The water that flows down the drains, untreated, can pollute the environment with chemicals, microbeads and other substances. Some simply use more water than needed when there are some communities in the world with poor access to fresh, drinkable water.
